May 21st- Play Safe! Be Safe! Workshop
@ South Metro Fire Rescue
The workshop covers several topics:
 The surprising frequency of young children’s misuse of fire, their limited perception of fire and undeveloped capacity to understand the potential danger of fire
 Effective, developmentally appropriate methods of teaching fire prevention to young children
 Sound strategies to motivate children and families to change their behavior toward fire and fire safety and adopt well regarded safety practices

All workshop participants receive:
 A play safe! be safe! kit at no cost for use in their classrooms year after year
 CEU eligible training and completion certificates
